Paying for your education is within your reach

You and your family have made one of the most important decisions of your life, and we at UCI want to be part of your journey. College is an investment in you, and the University of California wants to partner with you as you explore your career goals. At UCI, we don't want a lack of financial resources to get in the way of your future. We see parents, students, and the University as partners invested in your education—with important roles to play in meeting the cost. UCI administers a range of financial assistance programs to help students to pursue their education. All eligible students and their parents can receive some type of aid, regardless of the family's income and assets. We determine your financial aid eligibility by evaluating the family's ability to pay. With this information, we can determine your eligibility for grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study. Parents are expected to contribute to their children's education to the extent they are able. Your ability to do so is determined by the information you provide on the financial aid application. If you believe you will need some type of assistance, we encourage you to complete the application and meet all priority deadlines. As a student, you reap the benefit from your education, so it makes sense that you do your part to help pay for it. That starts with submitting your financial aid application on time, and including UCI on your application (Code 001314), as well as keeping on track of all correspondence sent to you via U.S. mail or e-mail, reading, and completing the information we provide. You can also apply for scholarships.
